I frequently get asked: What is Sex Therapy?

Sex Therapy addresses a wide range of concerns: painful sex, desire issues, arousal concerns, difficulties with orgasm/ ejaculation, vaginismus, intimacy after any type of genital surgery, erectile dysfunction, exploring your sexual identity, development of intimacy, infidelity, kink (term used to describe a wide range of sexual activities that are considered to be unconventional), BDSM (bondage and disciple, dominance and submission and sadism and masochism) means consensual power dynamic between partners, thinking you might have a sexual addiction, porn issues, sexual trauma (rape, child molestation, incest, intimate partner sexual violence, non-consensual sexual contact, non-contact sexual abuse) and socio-cultural factors (aspects of sexuality that are influenced by culture include values, decisions regarding appropriate sexual behaviors, suitable partner or partners, etc). We talk about any Sex Therapy concerns you have in an individual session or couples therapy session.
